Description
An evocative loop that starts from the shores of Lake Calamone, a body of water framed by woods and meadows, then ascends through ancient beech forests, wide pastures, and rocky ridges. The route leads to the summit of Monte Ventasso, from which the view embraces the entire arc of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, the valleys of the Secchia and Enza rivers, and, on the clearest days, the entire Po Valley.
The itinerary is of medium difficulty, but the final ascent to the summit presents a section classified for Expert Hikers: it requires sure-footedness and good training, amply rewarded, however, by the beauty of the panorama.

L'obiettivo è anche quello di cercare di capire: come si è evoluto l’ambiente, come è stato modificato (nel bene e nel male) dall’uomo, e come la natura, forse, se lo riprenderà.
