A trek in Val Comelico that leads to the summit of Monte Zovo is one of those experiences that Guidders choose when they really want to feel in the mountains: open spaces, real silence and views that open up suddenly.
We are in the Belluno Dolomites (province of Belluno, Veneto), in an area that is still authentic and uncrowded. The itinerary starts from Locanda La Baita, climbs decisively towards the Cima Monte Zovo and closes a perfect ring passing through the evocative Rifugio De Doo.
The ascent to Monte Zovo is progressive but constant: it starts in the woods and gains altitude until it comes out into more open environments, where the panorama becomes the protagonist. At the top, the feeling is one that the Guidders know well: effort rewarded, infinite space and the desire to stay.
