Description

This wonderful itinerary allows you to link several peaks, creating a satisfying high-altitude route with breathtaking views. We are above Spiazzi di Gromo, a municipality in Val Seriana, known for its small but popular ski resort. Here begins the path that leads, as its first destination, to the Vodala Refuge. Ascending through the forest and ski slopes, you reach it in about an hour. In front of us, we can already see the peaks we are aiming for: we continue towards the small saddle above the refuge, from which the wide shoulder of Timogno detaches. Climbing it laboriously, switchback after switchback, you reach its large cross. The view is spectacular! All the groups of peaks and valleys of Val Seriana to our left, to the right those of Val di Scave. But it doesn't end here: we continue along a small ridge that soon also touches the Cima del Benfit. Here we will make a detour, abandoning the ridge, we will descend towards the Passo degli Omini, an area where you can usually admire many edelweiss. Once at the pass, we will cross the underlying basin: depending on the preparation of the participants and the mountain conditions, it will be decided whether to lengthen the route, adding the wonderful summit of Vigna Vaga through the Passo di Fontanamora. In this case, 400 meters of additional ascent should be considered, for approximately 4 km round trip. Otherwise, we will cut directly back, passing through the summit of Avert. The path descends, taking you through pastures until you return to Spiazzi.

RoadTo4000

Road to 4000 is Guiddy's program designed for those who want to enter the world of mountaineering with awareness, progress, and camaraderie. It's a structured program of carefully selected itineraries from our team, designed as technical and physical training in preparation for climbing to the Margherita Hut. Our goal is to build skills, confidence, and team spirit. This isn't just about altitude acclimatization; it's a genuine journey of growth. From the first summits to the most challenging climbs, we'll tackle diverse mountain environments, learning to read, interpret, and respect them. Each outing is designed to develop endurance, elevation gain management, altitude adaptation, and confidence in the alpine environment. Road to 4000 is also about sharing and synergy: a group of Guidders united by the same dream, getting to know each other step by step, exchanging technical information, experiences, and authentic moments lived together in the mountains. You won't be climbing with strangers, but with a team that grows, supports each other, and arrives ready for the challenge of the 4000-meter peaks. It's a journey made of preparation, friendship, and concrete goals. The summit is the objective. The journey, the people, and the emotions… that's the real adventure. 🧡
