Description

A hike to emphasize the connection between women, 1942 meters and a hundred years of history underfoot.

We set off from Cima Rest, in Valvestino, in the province of Brescia, among the straw-roofed barns and its astronomical observatory, as the woods of the Alto Garda Bresciano dress in gold. We climb along a stretch of the old military road from the First World War, among trenches and positions carved into the rock, until reaching Cima Tombea, at 1942 meters: the second highest peak of the Prealpi Gardesane. The route is a loop: we climb up one side and descend the other, with the midday light igniting the colors of the foliage all along the way back.

5 reasons to join
- a day dedicated solely to us women, sharing the same passion: the mountains
- the autumn foliage that sets the whole forest ablaze
- no exposed or equipped sections: just pure hiking - the loop that tells the story of the Great War step by step
- an exceptional lunch at a mountain hut

Who it's suitable for:
Good fitness is required, along with legs used to long days: the elevation gain makes itself felt, but technically there's nothing complicated.

Come discover Cima Tombea with us: book your spot and enjoy the most beautiful autumn in the Alto Garda.

Guide

Stefania

Hi Guidders! My name is Stefania, and I was born and raised in Limone sul Garda, a place where mountains meet the lake to create truly spectacular scenery. The mountains have always been part of my life, but it was around the age of 25 that I began to experience them more consciously—and from that moment on, it was love at first sight. My training with the Lombardy Alpine Guides Association gave me the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of the mountain environment, from geology and botany to wildlife and weather. Every outing is a new chance to keep learning and to be amazed by everything nature has to offer. My goal is to guide you in discovering the mountains in a safe, relaxed, and engaging way. Whether it’s your first hike or you already have plenty of experience, I would love to help you enjoy unforgettable days filled with emotion, breathtaking views, and special moments to share. Because the mountains are not just a destination—they are a place to slow down, challenge yourself, build new friendships, and return home with memories that will stay in your heart forever.
