Description

An intense trek in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park, between Badia and Marebbe, up to Piz de Lavarela in the South Tyrolean Dolomites. With Guidders, you set off at around 1,725 m and climb along a mountain trail across scree slopes, switchbacks, and rocky terrain to the summit at about 3,055 m: a vast, rugged environment with views opening out over the Puster Valley and the Fanes plateau. This is a challenging hike for those with excellent fitness, sure footing, and experience at altitude, with exposure  steep sections, and unstable ground. The real value here is sharing true effort, silence, and the summit. 5 reasons - authentic Dolomite peak - wide-open views over Fanes - varied and never predictable trail - community experience with Guidders - rewarding ascent, indicative data What makes this hike unique is the clear progression from the valley to high-altitude landscapes, without artifice: just trail, rock, and the genuine satisfaction of reaching the top of Piz de Lavarela.

Guide

Alessandro

⛰ Hi there! I’m Alessandro. I’m 34 years old and live in the heart of the Dolomites, in the Cadore region. I am a certified International Mountain Leader (accredited by the Veneto Mountain Guide Association and UIMLA), a graduate in Sports Science, a mountain bike guide, and—believe it or not—a sommelier! After all, there’s nothing like a good glass of wine after a long hike. I love experiencing the mountains in every way possible: from trekking and trail running to mountain bike adventures. For me, moving through nature is pure energy, discovery, and emotion. Sharing this passion with others is my mission. Whether we are on a scenic trail or riding through the woods on two wheels, my goal is always the same: to provide authentic, active, and restorative experiences. See you on the trails… or maybe over a great glass of wine! 🍷🚵‍♂️🌲
