Description

The Predarossa Plain is a picture-postcard glacial plateau, surrounded by majestic peaks and green pastures where water carves small streams and sparkling pools. From here begins our trek towards the Cesare Ponti Refuge (2,559 m), a stop on the legendary Sentiero Roma trail and a privileged balcony overlooking Monte Disgrazia (3,678 m).

The path starts gently, among moraines and meadows dotted with water, then gradually becomes more challenging, with switchbacks and granite boulders. The ascent rewards us with increasingly expansive views, up to the final stretch, steep but spectacular, which leads to the refuge, perched on a spur with a 360° view of the surrounding mountains.

After lunch and enjoying the view of Monte Disgrazia and the characteristic moraine of its glacier, we will return to the cars along the same route.
