Punta Venerocolo: Summit Views of the Adamello Glaciers
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Difficult Plus
Description
Trekking to Punta Venerocolo (3323 m) from Malga Cadèa – Avio Lakes and Garibaldi Refuge in the Adamello Group
An adventure in the wild heart of the Adamello massif. A high-altitude trek that crosses spectacular environments including alpine lakes, ancient military mule tracks, and glacial panoramas that seem to belong to another world.
We will start from Val d'Avio following the historic service road that climbs towards the picturesque artificial lakes of the hydroelectric complex. Through woods, waterfalls, and wide alpine plateaus, we will reach the magnificent Garibaldi Refuge at Venerocolo, overlooking the lake of the same name.
From here, the more alpine part of the itinerary will begin: among glacial moraines and granite rocks, we will climb towards the final ridge to conquer the summit of Punta Venerocolo, one of the most spectacular viewpoints over the great glacial expanses of Adamello and Pian di Neve.
An intense, powerful climb, to be experienced step by step with the Guiddy spirit.
