Towards the Summit – Two Days on the Glacier Among Ridges and Eternal Silences

An adventure at high altitude, among historic refuges, sparkling glaciers, and breathtaking views. We will start from the heart of the Stelvio National Park, at the foot of the snow-covered giants, to experience two intense days among refuges, aerial ridges, and the conquest of an extraordinary summit at almost 3,800 meters above sea level.

An experience for those who love the real mountains, made of breath, effort, and wonder shared with the Guidders.

🥾 TREKKING STAGES

🗓️ Day 1 – From Rifugio Forni to Rifugio Pizzini

📍 Departure: Rifugio Forni (2,170 m) – 09:00 AM The walk begins gently along a path that leads us through glacial moraines and high-altitude pastures. In about 1 hour and a half we reach the Rifugio Pizzini (2,706 m), surrounded by solemn peaks. Here we stop to enjoy the silence and prepare for the ascent of the following day. A peaceful evening between clear skies and deep breaths.

🗓️ Day 2 – From Pizzini to the Summit (3,769 m)

📍 Departure: 05:30 AM – Rifugio Pizzini → Cable Car → Glacier.

After breakfast, we head towards the cable car, from where we take the path that leads us near the Rifugio Casati (currently closed for future works). From there, we begin the crossing on the glacier, following the central track: an initially peaceful walk, immersed in an unreal glacial landscape.

📍 Traverse below the Terminal Crevasse The section becomes steeper and more demanding: the traverse below the terminal crevasse requires attention, but also offers strong emotions.

📍 Final Ridge and Summit (3,769 m) The most spectacular part of the itinerary: an aerial and panoramic ridge, which accompanies us to the summit with an open view over the entire Alpine arc. At the summit, a flat and sharp ridge awaits us, suspended in the sky: a goal that repays every effort with pure beauty.
