Roadto4000 - Punta Giordani 4046m: Your (First!) 4000-Meter Peak!
Guiddy Mountaineering Scale
F (Easy)
High altitude
Description
There are mountains you never forget. And often the first 4000 is one of them. Punta Giordani (4,046 m) is the perfect gateway to high altitude, an experience that combines emotion, safety and immense panoramas: the best way to start your Road to 4000 journey with the Guidders community.
We start from Punta Indren and, with crampons on, immediately enter the heart of the Lys Glacier. The pace is steady, the route linear, the environment majestic. Around us only silence, light and that profound energy that only the high mountains can give. It is here that you really begin to feel what it means to climb above 4,000 meters.
The slope gradually increases, without ever becoming extreme, making the itinerary ideal as a first 4000. The arrival on the final ridge is the moment that changes everything: before your eyes opens the immense amphitheater of Monte Rosa, with its glacial peaks that shine under the sun.
At the summit of Punta Giordani the world seems far away. The gaze runs from the Pyramid Vincent to Punta Gnifetti, up to the endless walls of the Rosa. It is the moment of real smiles, of joy shared with the group, of that unique sensation in which the altitude is felt first in the heart than in the legs.
This is not just a climb: it is a passage, a fundamental step of the Road to 4000 path. An intense experience, lived with respect, accompanied by a certified mountain guide, to savor authentic mountaineering in total safety.
If you dream of high altitude, if you want to start climbing seriously, if you want to do it together and not alone, this is the right place. With Guiddy you don't just conquer a summit: you start a shared journey towards 4000. 🧡
