Piramide Vincent: a Monte Rosa 4000er from Alagna

Your first 4000er, with an alpine guide

Piramide Vincent (4,215 m) is one of the most accessible and rewarding 4000ers of Monte Rosa: the right climb to experience high altitude authentically and safely. It is glacier mountaineering, designed for those already familiar with crampons and ice axe who want to take a real step in Guiddy's Road to 4000 programme.

We start from Punta Indren, reached by cable car from Alagna, and enter the glacial world straight away: bright glaciers, thin air and views widening with every step. We cross the Lys Glacier on a steady climb between seracs and high-altitude silence, up to the final steep stretch to the summit.

The progression is continuous but well graded: 950 metres of ascent in six hours, the best way to get to know the 4000ers without overdoing it, roped up with the alpine guide throughout.

Who it suits
