A gentle, panoramic hike starting from Pescegallo, in Valgerola, climbing towards Rifugio Salmurano between fragrant woods, stone huts and bright valleys. The trail gains height calmly, skirting pastures where the silence of the mountains takes centre stage.
Before the climb we walk the loop around Lago di Pescegallo, one of the most photographed lakes in the Valtellina Orobie, set among the peaks and a different colour with every change of light.
Reaching the hut, at 1,847 metres, we find a natural terrace with a spectacular view of Pizzo dei Tre Signori and the surrounding valleys: the perfect spot for a lunch break, a home-made cake and a few photos. Eight kilometres and 550 metres of ascent in total.
