Description

In spring, Alpe Devero becomes one of the most spectacular places in the Lepontine Alps: meadows turning green again, rushing streams, and nature bursting with life after winter.

This trek will take us to discover the evocative Sangiatto Lakes, three splendid alpine lakes nestled in a glacial basin suspended between rocks and high-altitude pastures, considered among the most iconic and photographed corners of the entire Val d'Ossola.

Starting from Alpe Devero, we will cross the large alpine plain to reach the characteristic village of Crampiolo, a small village of stone huts that seems to have come out of a mountain fairy tale.

From here, the path climbs progressively towards the Sangiatto Lakes, offering increasingly wider views of the surrounding mountains and the alpine plateaus of the Alpe Devero Natural Park.

Arriving at the lake basin, the scenery becomes truly magical: crystal-clear waters, profound silences, and large alpine spaces that convey all the authenticity of this valley.

A panoramic and relaxing excursion, perfect for Guidders who want to experience the mountains in the most beautiful time of the year.
