In the heart of Valmalenco, among towering mountains and the silence of high altitudes, lies one of the most fascinating corners of the Lombard Alps: the Sassersa Lakes. A trek that Guidders will love from the very first step, where nature is still truly authentic and every view looks like it came straight off a postcard.
Our route will take us into the enchanting Val Sassersa, at the foot of the dramatic peaks on the western side of Valmalenco, following trails that cross alpine pastures, crystal-clear streams, and landscapes shaped by glaciers. Our destination is three beautiful glacial lakes, nestled between 2,300 and 2,400 meters above sea level, so close to one another that they create one of the valley’s most spectacular settings.
The clear waters reflect the sky and the surrounding mountains, creating an atmosphere of absolute peace. It is the perfect place to slow down, breathe in the fresh high-mountain air, and let yourself be captivated by one of the most beautiful views in the province of Sondrio.
