Description
Three days of hiking in the purest granite of Val Masino, along one of the most famous treks in the Alps: the legendary Sentiero Roma.
This spectacular itinerary unfolds in the presence of some of the most iconic mountains in the Alpine arc: Pizzo Badile, Cengalo, Monte Disgrazia, Ligoncio, Cima di Castello and Cima di Zocca, amidst granite walls, wild valleys and high-altitude passes.
The Val Masino Variant of the Sentiero Roma is designed for trained Guidders looking for new challenges. A technical and spectacular route that crosses some of the wildest valleys in the area: Valle dell’Oro, Val Porcellizzo, Valle del Ferro and Val di Zocca.
During the trek we will touch some of the most iconic refuges of Val Masino such as the Rifugio Gianetti and the Rifugio Allievi-Bonacossa, crossing spectacular alpine passes such as Passo Barbacan, Passo del Camerozzo, Passo Qualido and Passo dell’Averta.
In the final stretch we will reach the suggestive Bivacco Kima and the prestigious Bocchetta Roma, one of the symbolic passages of the entire Sentiero Roma, from which the descent towards the Rifugio Ponti in the magnificent Valle di Predarossa will begin, dominated by the south face of Monte Disgrazia.
An epic trek that every mountain lover should experience at least once in their life.
