Description
This itinerary, suitable for everyone, proposes a walk along the lower variant leading to the Passo delle Sette Crocette (Pass of the Seven Crosses), an ancient connecting route between the upper Val Trompia and Val Grigna valleys, to ascend Monte Crestoso. The reason why the Pass has this monument is unknown. According to myths and legends, it is linked to spiritualism and witchcraft, while popular stories tell of a gesture of mountain piety towards a bloody event that led to the death of seven people. The itinerary starts from the parking area of the Locanda Hotel Bonardi in the Maniva area. It is an easy path, suitable for everyone, and does not require great technical preparation, other than being accustomed to walking.
