Snowshoeing in Val di Rezzalo – Winter Magic Amongst Mountain Huts, Silence, and History
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Intermediate
Description
Val di Rezzalo is one of the most enchanting places in the Rhaetian Alps: a wide, silent and fairytale-like valley, where winter transforms everything into a postcard. The gentle ascent, the forest that opens onto pristine clearings, and the charm of the ancient mountain huts make this snowshoe hike perfect for those seeking an evocative yet accessible experience.
Starting from the Premia Bridge, the path follows the ancient military mule track that winds through snow-covered larches and stone walls, until you reach the historic village of San Bernardo: a timeless place, with perfectly preserved huts and an alpine fairytale atmosphere.
The last stretch leads to the Rifugio La Baita, a welcoming and warm stop in the heart of the valley, perfect for a revitalizing break or a good hot meal before returning.
An ideal itinerary to experience the mountains in a soft version, immersed in the most authentic nature.
