Description

A trek to Lake Sorapis is one of those experiences that every Guidder should have at least once. We are in the Ampezzo Dolomites, above Cortina d'Ampezzo, and from the very first step you understand why this lake has become one of the most iconic in Italy.

The starting point from the area of the former Hotel Cristallo immediately leads into a spectacular path: you walk through woods and panoramic ledges, always with your gaze open to the surrounding mountains.

Then, suddenly, there it is: Lake Sorapis. Unreal color, milky turquoise water, nestled under the walls of the Sorapis group. One of those places that is even better in person than any photo.

It's not just a walk: it's an experience. The path alternates relaxed moments with more dynamic sections, making the hike always engaging. And when you arrive at the lake... you understand why everyone talks about it.

The Guidders know: Sorapis is not just a destination, it is a memory that remains. Join the group and come and experience this trek in the right way, together.

Guide

Alessandro

⛰ Hi there! I’m Alessandro. I’m 34 years old and live in the heart of the Dolomites, in the Cadore region. I am a certified International Mountain Leader (accredited by the Veneto Mountain Guide Association and UIMLA), a graduate in Sports Science, a mountain bike guide, and—believe it or not—a sommelier! After all, there’s nothing like a good glass of wine after a long hike. I love experiencing the mountains in every way possible: from trekking and trail running to mountain bike adventures. For me, moving through nature is pure energy, discovery, and emotion. Sharing this passion with others is my mission. Whether we are on a scenic trail or riding through the woods on two wheels, my goal is always the same: to provide authentic, active, and restorative experiences. See you on the trails… or maybe over a great glass of wine! 🍷🚵‍♂️🌲
