Sunset Hike on Monte Bollettone from Alpe del Vicerè: A Scenic Loop in the Larian Triangle

There's a moment in the day when the Larian Triangle becomes even more magical: when the sun begins to descend behind the mountains and the sky is painted orange and red. It is precisely in that special hour that we will ascend towards Monte Bollettone, one of the most beautiful panoramic viewpoints above Lake Como.

Our trek starts from Alpe del Vicerè, in the territory of Albavilla, a few kilometers from Como and easily reachable from Milan and Lecco. The path immediately enters the woods and gradually ascends among beech trees and panoramic clearings, while the light of the late afternoon makes the atmosphere increasingly evocative.

As we approach the summit of Monte Bollettone, the panorama opens onto the Lombard Prealps, Brianza, and Lake Como. Once at the top, we will take the time to enjoy one of the most spectacular sunsets in the area: the sun setting behind the mountains, the sky changing color minute after minute, and the sensation of being suspended between sky and lake.

After experiencing this special moment with the Guidders, we will begin the return loop, passing through some symbolic places of trekking in the Larian Triangle, such as the Bocchetta di Lemna and the Capanna Mara, perfect for a short break before returning towards the Alpe del Vicerè.
