Sunset on Monte Bisbino from Sagno: a scenic hike between Italy and Switzerland

When the sun begins to dip behind the mountains, Monte Bisbino (1,325 m) becomes one of the most enchanting panoramic spots between Switzerland and Lombardy. With the Guidders, we will set off from the charming village of Sagno, in Canton Ticino, to reach a summit that offers one of the most spectacular views in Insubria, perfect for experiencing a sunset surrounded by nature.

The trail climbs at a steady gradient through beautiful beech and chestnut woods, alternating shaded sections with increasingly wide panoramic openings. As you gain elevation, the view opens onto Lake Como, Lake Lugano, Monte Generoso, the Val d'Intelvi, and the Alpine peaks that form the backdrop to this extraordinary landscape.

Once we reach the summit of Monte Bisbino, next to the famous Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin, we will stop to admire the sunset. The last light of the day will paint the lakes and mountains in golden hues, creating a unique atmosphere that is perfect for sharing photographs, emotions, and a moment of relaxation together with the Guidders.

As evening falls, we will begin the return along the same route, accompanied by the silence of the forest and the magic of the mountains in the evening hours.
