Sunset on Mount Padrio

When the sun begins to dip behind the mountains, Monte Padrio offers one of the most breathtaking spectacles in Valtellina. A panoramic trek perfect for those who want to experience the mountains at the most evocative time of day, when the trails grow quiet and the peaks glow with golden light.

With the Guidders, we will set off from Trivigno, a small Alpine village overlooking central Valtellina, following a route that crosses larch forests, pastures, and ancient military roads until reaching the panoramic summit of Monte Padrio (2,153 m). The ascent is gradual and never monotonous, alternating stretches immersed in nature with wide panoramic openings that hint at the final spectacle.

At the summit, a stunning 360° view awaits us: Valtellina stretches out at our feet, while the gaze sweeps from the Bernina Group to the peaks of Adamello, from Valcamonica to the Orobie Alps. As the sun slowly disappears behind the mountains, we will experience one of the most magical moments of the hike, sharing a packed dinner and the beauty of the sunset in the company of the Guidders.

The return journey will take place beneath the twilight sky, with the first stars accompanying our final steps along the trail.
