Description
There are times of the year when the mountain lowers its voice, as if wanting to be heard better. Winter, with its golden afternoon light and the silence of fresh snow, is one of them. And it is precisely in that magical hour, when the sun begins to touch the ridges and the sky turns pink, that our adventure will begin.
We will meet in the early afternoon, snowshoes on our feet and curiosity in our eyes, ready to immerse ourselves in the muffled forest that surrounds Zoppè di Cadore. The route, gentle and suggestive, will accompany us step by step to the refuge: a warm, welcoming place, where the scent of wood and the crackling of the stove immediately create atmosphere.
Waiting for us, a steaming toast of mulled wine or hot drink: a small ritual that marks the beginning of the magic. Outside, the light slowly fades. Inside, the warmth of the refuge, the smile of the Guiders and that special feeling of being in the right place, at the perfect time.
When the first stars appear in the sky, we will put our backpacks back on our shoulders for the return. The snow under our feet, the silence around us, the slow rhythm of winter: it is the moment when the mountain shows all its poetry.
And to conclude the evening? An authentic dinner in a mountain hut, made of traditional dishes, genuine flavors and sincere conviviality. A simple and beautiful way to end an experience that is not just an excursion, but a small journey through snow, warmth and wonder.
A perfect evening for those seeking true emotions, unforgettable views and the magic of winter in the Dolomites.

Guide

Jacopo
Hi, I'm Jacopo, a certified hiking guide since 2014. I'm from Bassano del Grappa, and I mostly lead trips in the mountains, from the quieter, wilder Venetian Prealps to the stunning landscapes of the Dolomites. On my hikes, I love to share the history of these places and the people who lived here before us, recounting fascinating local legends and searching for the area's unique flora and fauna. I'm an avid reader, and it's not unusual for me to open a book during a hike, deep in the forest or on a secluded hilltop, and read a passage aloud. Words can lighten our steps and free our minds from the present moment, allowing us to embrace a moment of eternity. I can't wait to guide you on your next adventure!
