Monte Bronzone at sunset: from Lerano above Predore

A hike to experience the mountains in the most evocative hours of the day. We start from Lerano, above Predore, and climb the trails crossing woods and panoramic ridges overlooking Lake Iseo.

After passing the Croce di Predore we reach the summit of Monte Bronzone (1,334 m), one of the most spectacular natural terraces in the area. Here we stop to watch the sunset, when the sun turns the lake, the Po plain and the surrounding pre-Alps red.

With the evening light the descent begins: 11 kilometres and 900 metres of total ascent, returning in the dark along the same route. This is the outing for anyone wanting something different from the usual Sunday walk.

Who it suits

This is an intermediate hike: 900 metres of ascent over eleven kilometres, with no technical sections but a return in the dark. A head torch is mandatory, plus a windproof jacket, boots and a packed dinner to eat at the summit.
