Description

An excursion that combines nature, spectacular views, and physical exertion on easily accessible paths.

We start from the parking lot near Lake Segrino and take the CAI path that goes up the southern slope of Cornizzolo. The route is initially easy and develops on a cart road, with a sometimes challenging slope.

The path then presents numerous hairpin bends that allow for regular progression; with some more challenging crossings in the woods.

Around 1,000 m above sea level, we gradually emerge from the woods. The vegetation thins out, and meadows and clearings appear, with wide panoramic views of Brianza, Lake Pusiano, and, on clear days, the Po Valley.

The last stretch follows a wide, grassy ridge with no technical difficulties, characterized by wide open spaces and an excellent panoramic point on the Grigne, the Resegone, and the entire Larian Triangle.

Depending on the ground conditions, it will be established which route to take in the final part and whether to reach the top of Cornizzolo (1,241 m) or go directly to the SEC Marisa Consigliere refuge.

Lunch is planned at the refuge

or alternatively packed (please indicate at the time of registration)

Guide

Luca

Nature, safety, and a whole lot of enthusiasm for sharing! Hi there! I'm Luca, and I've always been passionate about nature – lucky enough to live right next to it every day. My professional background has been focused on safety and the environment for years, but I felt the need to combine my skills and passion into something even more engaging… and that's how my adventure as an AIGAE Environmental Hiking Guide began. Today, I lead groups to discover the wonders of nature, with a special focus on sustainability, well-being, and team spirit. I believe in hiking that's good for the body, good for the mind… and that creates new connections! Let's have fun together and learn to observe the world around us with fresh eyes! 😊
