The Pagani Cave in the Presolana.
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Intermediate
Description
A summer trek at the foot of the Presolana, in the province of Bergamo, through woods, rock faces, wide-open views, and an alpine atmosphere. Together with the Guidders we’ll set off from Passo della Presolana and hike toward one of the most evocative places in the Orobie Alps: the Grotta dei Pagani.
The route passes by Baita Cassinelli, a panoramic spot at the foot of the Queen, and continues into the Valle dell’Ombra, where the landscape becomes wilder and more dramatic. Once we reach the Bivacco Città di Clusone, overlooking the basin below, we’ll continue on toward the cave, hidden among the walls of the Presolana.
In summer, the Grotta dei Pagani offers a different but equally fascinating experience: rock, silence, cool air, and a spectacular view over the valley and the surrounding peaks. After a break for a packed lunch, we’ll return along the classic trail.
A perfect hike for those who want to experience the Presolana authentically, surrounded by nature, views, and the shared spirit of Guidders.
