The Panoramic Balcony Over Lake Garda: Summiting Comer and Mount Denervo
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Intermediate
Description
Among the most surprising panoramic treks on the Brescia side of Lake Garda, the excursion to Cima Comer is one of those routes that immediately wins over Guidders. With its 1279 meters of altitude, this peak dominates the lake from above and offers one of the most spectacular panoramic points in the entire area.
Starting from the small village of Briano, in the territory of Gargnano, the itinerary follows a path immersed in the forest which makes the ascent pleasant and gradual. It is not the classic ascent to Cima Comer from Sasso: this variant is gentler, more natural and perfect for those who want to experience a panoramic trek on Lake Garda without facing technical passages.
The path crosses a dense vegetation typical of the mountains that separate Garda from Val Vestino, offering shaded stretches, silence and continuous contact with nature. As you climb, the forest opens up and leaves room for increasingly wider views of the lake, until you reach the final ridge of Cima Comer: one of the most iconic panoramic points in the entire area.
From here, the view embraces the entire Lake Garda, from the mountains of Trentino to the Verona shore. Those who still have energy can continue towards the nearby Monte Denervo, adding a panoramic stretch that makes the excursion even more complete.
