The stunning Lake Sorapis and the Vandelli Refuge
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Intermediate
Description
Among the wonders of the Dolomites, we cannot fail to mention the crystal-clear, turquoise waters of Lake Sorapis, nestled at the foot of the majestic Dito di Dio peak, one of the most recognizable peaks of the Sorapis range. Its waters, with shades unique in the world, were formed thanks to the limestone rock dust found on the bottom, transported by the melting of the Sorapis glacier. Although the path requires some effort, the view of the lake will more than reward the effort of the climb.
NB: this is the non-exposed route, therefore avoiding all the narrow sections and chains.
