Croda Sora i Colesei – An Adventure Through History and Hidden Dolomites
A route that combines nature and history, on the border between South Tyrol, Veneto and Austria. We will walk along paths that tell centuries of stories: still intact fortifications from the Great War, bunkers from the 1930s and even traces of the Roman era.
The heart of the excursion will be the Vallone Popera, a little-known pearl of the Sesto and Comelico Dolomites, wild and authentic, far from the crowds.
The route is adventurous: some sections on rocky paths make it the ideal first experience for those who dream of the Dolomites without tackling via ferratas or technical passages. Harnesses or mountaineering equipment are not necessary, but a mountaineering helmet is mandatory: the path runs right under majestic vertical walls. 👉 If you don't have one, we can easily arrange rental for the day.
