Description
Few trails offer views as breathtaking: the sun mirroring in the lake, mountains stretching as far as the eye can see, and ancient woodlands. But everyone knows that about the Viandante's Way. So, why should you sign up today? Because, with your gaze fixed on the placid waters of Lake Como, I'll tell you about how a prodigious Italian woman discovered the secret of the lake's depths, about the macabre powers of the yew trees that shade the path, and about our very own Loch Ness Monster, the Lariosauro! Oh, and most importantly, because I'm bringing homemade cookies :) The trail is wide and not exposed, but it's a good workout! You'll be doing quite a bit of hiking, so a reasonable level of fitness and previous hiking experience are required. We'll hike the trail in one direction only. The return from Varenna to Lierna will be by train.
