Description

From the village of Nebbiù, a loop trail begins, encompassing the very essence of Cadore: silent woods, breathtaking views, and a touch of Alpine history. The ascent will take us to the Salto del Muss, an impressive overhang that can be safely traversed on a wide path. Continuing on, we will reach Forcella Antracisa, a crossing point that opens the way to our final destination.

With one last short climb, we will reach the historic church of San Dionisio, one of the most spectacular panoramic viewpoints in Centro Cadore. From here, the view opens up 360°: the Sfornioi, the Sasso Lungo di Cibiana, the Antelao group, and all the peaks that frame the valley. With respect, it will also be possible to ring the church's external bell, a symbolic gesture that makes the arrival even more special.

The return journey will be along a different path, descending along a military road that will offer new views of the valley and passage next to a refuge (now closed) but with an incredible view. From here, the descent continues until we find the houses and the starting point, completing a perfect loop.

Guide

Alessandro

⛰ Hi there! I’m Alessandro. I’m 34 years old and live in the heart of the Dolomites, in the Cadore region. I am a certified International Mountain Leader (accredited by the Veneto Mountain Guide Association and UIMLA), a graduate in Sports Science, a mountain bike guide, and—believe it or not—a sommelier! After all, there’s nothing like a good glass of wine after a long hike. I love experiencing the mountains in every way possible: from trekking and trail running to mountain bike adventures. For me, moving through nature is pure energy, discovery, and emotion. Sharing this passion with others is my mission. Whether we are on a scenic trail or riding through the woods on two wheels, my goal is always the same: to provide authentic, active, and restorative experiences. See you on the trails… or maybe over a great glass of wine! 🍷🚵‍♂️🌲
