In the heart of Val Belviso, at the foot of Monte Torena, the Torena Lakes offer Guidders a surprising excursion through wild nature, open panoramas and authentic mountain atmospheres. The route climbs gradually through pastures, alpine meadows and high-altitude paths, in a wide and bright environment that makes the trek pleasant and super rewarding.
Upon arrival, the landscape changes completely: Lago Nero (Black Lake) and Lago Verde (Green Lake), close but very different in color and character, appear set in a beautiful, silent and scenic glacial basin. Here the mountain truly knows how to amaze, with reflections, tranquility and that beautiful feeling of being in an authentic and little-trodden corner of the Valtellina Orobie Alps. All enriched by a local legend that makes these two lakes even more fascinating: two young lovers transformed into water, united forever among these mountains.
