From the enchanting Val Loana, above Malesco in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, we will set off together with the Guiddyers on a trek into the heart of Val Grande National Park, one of Italy’s most captivating wilderness areas. We will cross forests, pastures, and ancient alpine hamlets until we reach Alpe Laurasca, then continue on to the scenic Scaredi Bivouac, with sweeping views over valleys, ridges, and mountains. The trail is steep in places but never especially technical: it requires good fitness and sure footing, especially on the descent. A hike that rewards you with stunning scenery, silence, and the satisfaction of reaching altitude at the right pace.
