Trek to Monte Alto and Rifugio Magnolini: an authentic hike with breathtaking views
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Intermediate
Description
A trek that tastes of ridgelines, high meadows, and sweeping views over the Bergamo Orobie Alps. With the Guidders, we set off from Monte Pora, in the province of Bergamo, and climb toward Monte Alto via Rifugio Magnolini, above Valle Camonica and Lake Iseo. The trail alternates between shepherds’ tracks, ridge paths, and ups and downs across grassy and rocky terrain: a medium-difficulty hike, with some sections exposed to the wind and best tackled with a steady footing. 5 reasons to join - wide-open views between Presolana, Lake Iseo, and Valle Camonica - stop at Rifugio Magnolini - varied trekking along ridgelines and pastures - the summit of Monte Alto is incredibly rewarding - a shared experience with the Guidders What makes this special is the continuity of the landscape: a long hike with a true alpine feel, never ordinary, where the summit unfolds within a vast and vibrant setting.
