Description
An intense and incredibly scenic trek in the heart of the Lecco mountains, featuring wild trails, steep forests, and breathtaking views of the Northern Grigna. Together with the Guidders, we will set off from Mandello del Lario to tackle the lesser-known 'Sentèe del Tacc,' a steep and authentic route that climbs toward Rifugio Elisa via La Gardata. The trail winds through wild landscapes at the foot of Sasso Cavallo and Sasso dei Carbonari, offering spectacular vistas of the Upper Meria Valley and Lake Como. After a break at Rifugio Elisa, we will return along the classic path, passing through the historic Grotta Ferrera, famously mentioned by Leonardo da Vinci in his Codex Atlanticus. If weather permits, we will explore the cave with our headlamps on.
