From the village of San Michele, above Gardone Riviera in the province of Brescia, we’ll hike together with the Guidders up to Rifugio Pirlo allo Spino, in the Alto Garda Bresciano Park. This trek begins among olive groves and woodland, then gains elevation on a mountain trail with some steep sections, rocky ground, and a few passages that require sure-footedness: overall, an indicative moderate-to-challenging hike. The effort is rewarded with sweeping views over Lake Garda, the valley, and the ridgelines of Monte Spino.
