Description
We set off with the Guidders from Cainallo (Esino Lario), on the Northern Grigna side, following a trail that immediately enters a cool beech forest. As we climb, the panorama opens up over Lake Como and the Grigne mountains, until we reach the spectacular Porta di Prada: a natural rock arch that looks like a gateway suspended between sky and mountain. From here, we continue along a hillside path, amidst limestone spires and almost Dolomite-like surroundings, until we reach the Bietti-Buzzi Refuge, nestled in a natural amphitheater. A scenic, varied, and truly evocative trek.
