Trekking on the River Trail: a hike through waterfalls, river crossings, and Alpe Era on Lake Como

An adventurous trek above Mandello del Lario, among the crystal-clear waters of the Era Valley and the mountain pastures overlooking Lake Como. With the Guidders, we will set off from Somana to take the famous River Trail, a spectacular route that follows the Era stream through fords, natural pools, waterfalls, and passages through the rock. The trail includes some sections equipped with chains and requires caution, sure footing, and a steady step, especially when the rocks are wet. After the final climb, we will reach Alpe Era, a small alpine hamlet immersed in tranquility. Depending on timing and the group, we may continue on to Alpe Cetra for lunch.
