Trekking to Cima Cadì from Passo Tonale: A panoramic hike through ridges, trenches, and glaciers
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Intermediate
Description
Let's set off with the Guidders from the San Bartolomeo Hospice (1971 m) at Passo Tonale, following a dirt road that winds through alpine meadows and larch trees, offering views that reach as far as the Dolomites on clear days. The excursion traverses open, scenic terrain until reaching the turn-off for Cima Cadì, where the path becomes steeper and less distinct. As you ascend, the landscape shifts: small lakes, the glaciers of the Adamello-Presanella group, and historic trenches accompany your journey. The final ridge is thrilling, with slightly exposed sections and occasionally loose ground. The loop return offers new vistas, with the chance to spot marmots amidst grand panoramas. A complete, dynamic, and incredibly engaging trek.
An experience that combines history and high mountains: you will walk among magnificent views and remnants of the past, reaching a summit that delivers true excitement.
