Description
In the heart of the Lecco Orobie Alps, above the village of Introbio, lies one of the most fascinating valleys in the area: Val Biandino. Here, on a natural balcony at 1988 meters above sea level, is the charming Rifugio Santa Rita, the destination of this panoramic trek perfect for a day in the mountains amidst nature, pastures, and grand views.
Our itinerary starts from Alpe Paglio, one of the most convenient access points to Val Biandino. From here, the path immediately enters an authentic alpine environment made of open meadows, alpine pastures, and wide views of the Orobie Alps.
During the ascent, the landscape progressively opens up onto the valley and the great peaks that surround it. Among these, the majestic Pizzo dei Tre Signori and the wild Pizzo Melasc dominate the horizon, two iconic mountains that make this valley one of the most spectacular in the Lombard Prealps.
The route is pleasant and gradual, ideal for walking without haste and enjoying the landscape. Once at the refuge, you can relax with a panoramic break: lunch at the refuge if open, or a packed lunch surrounded by the mountains.
It's one of those perfect treks to experience the mountains together with the Guidders community: panoramas, authentic nature, and the pleasure of walking together.
