Description
An intense and scenic trek through the most authentic side of Valsassina, designed for those seeking off-the-beaten-path trails and wild atmospheres. Together with the Guidders, we will depart from Pasturo (LC) to tackle a fascinating variation of the classic San Calimero loop, following the evocative Costa dei Sassi Rossi: a secondary, quiet route that offers incredible views, exposed sections, and direct contact with the valley's truest nature. After the ascent, we will join the trail coming from Piani di Nava leading to the famous little church of San Calimero, recognizable by its iconic red roof and one of the most beautiful panoramas over Valsassina. We will close the loop by returning to Pasturo through woods and ancient mountain paths. An excursion suitable for trained hikers who are confident on exposed trails.
