Triangolo Lariano Ridge Traverse: 8 Peaks Above Lake Como
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Difficult Plus
Description
Eight peaks, one ridge, two days deep in the Triangolo Lariano.
We set off with the Guidders from Brunate and start climbing straight into woods that open onto Lake Como. This ridge traverse takes us peak after peak along the dorsale: Boletto, Bolettone, Nuvolone, all the way to Monte San Primo. We walk the crest with the lake on one side and the Prealps unfolding on the other, mixing panoramic stretches with steeper sections that keep the day exciting. Along the way we pass refreshment points like Rifugio Martina, with an optional detour to Rifugio Palanzone/Riella for a scenic break. As the sun sets we pitch camp and spend a night under the stars, before setting off again the next day to finish the traverse toward Bellagio.
This ridge is known among local hikers as one of the most complete traverses in the area: eight peaks in a single route, mostly on narrow single-track between crests and forest.
