Description

At the eastern gates of the Orobie Alps, a small jewel of biodiversity opens up: the Sant'Antonio Valleys Reserve, established in 1983 and now a treasure chest of unspoiled nature and ancient traditions. Its 222 hectares extend between the spectacular Val Brandet and Val di Campovecchio, crossed by clear streams that meet in the picturesque village of Sant'Antonio, in the municipality of Corteno Golgi.

Here, the landscape tells the story of glaciers: ancient smoothed rocks, vast moraine deposits and small lakes that sparkle among the woods, give the walker the feeling of traveling through time.

The reserve holds a precious balance, the result of the coexistence between man and nature: pastures, dry stone walls and alpine pastures interact with forests and high-altitude meadows.

🦌 Alpine fauna These valleys are home to a very rich animal community: from chamois to noble deer, from roe deer to foxes, up to mouflons, introduced here in 1971. In the woods it is easy to meet squirrels and, with a bit of luck, even the shy marten. Higher up, the mountain hare and the ermine peek out, while in the skies the golden eagle reigns supreme, majestically flying over the valley.

The black woodpecker, the hazel grouse, the nutcracker, the goshawk and the sparrowhawk hide among the branches. At higher altitudes, however, live the rock partridge, the black grouse and the ptarmigan, guardians of the wildest spaces.

🍂 A colorful trek In every season the reserve offers different emotions, but autumn is pure magic: the larches turn gold, transforming the paths into a living palette. Walking here means immersing yourself in a world where nature and tradition merge, leaving indelible memories.

✨ A special place, where every step tells a mountain story.

Francesca

Hi! I'm Francesca – a ski instructor, Level II STF trainer, ski school director, athletic trainer, and certified Mountain Leader registered with the Lombardy Alpine Guide Association. I was born by the sea, but I live amongst the mountains, where every summit tells a story of challenge and every trail unveils a new discovery. I carry the sea within me: that vibrant energy, that desire for freedom and movement that I rediscover every time I strap on my skis or guide someone to high altitudes. I live to share my passion, help others grow (both on the trail and in spirit), and pass on my love for the mountains… with determination, skill, and a smile that’s always ready.
