How pleasant could it be to start the year together, strolling along the Adda river and in the center of Lecco, hearing stories from a native, visiting a museum on the lake, having a pre-dinner drink together in a typical place? 🥂 Come and discover it 😄🍀
In this event, I propose an urban trekking (a walk, with a round trip, in which the walking part will be about 2.5 hours) in the city where I was born and lived
for half of my life.
Starting from Pescarenico, the place that inspired Manzoni's "Addio monti" ⛰️, along that stretch of lake that "seems to narrow to take the shape and form of a river", we will walk to the center of Lecco, stopping to visit an immersive museum on the lake and the beauties of the area (with a tasting of a glass of wine included), arriving at the point where we can admire the iconic bell tower affectionately known as the Matitone. ✏️ and other points of interest, with parts of a city that was a fort and much more.
From around 6 pm we will take the time to have a delightful aperitif in the historic center of Lecco (gluten free)

We will return to Pescarenico walking through the center, crossing squares and greeting statues (assuming they make themselves known!).
I have tentatively planned the return time to the starting point for around 9 pm,

Platters of cured meats (horse slinzega, local salami) and cheeses (Branzi dairy, Dassogno stracchino, Crotto della valchiavenna)

On request it will be possible to add other dishes from the menu at the time, including non-gluten-free options: mondeghini or panelle...
