We start from Rima, one of the most charming Walser villages in Valsesia, with a morning departure. The trail winds through pastures, streams and a cool forest, then opens onto alpine meadows dotted with rhododendrons and blueberries. Some steep sections call for a steady step, but every effort pays off once you reach Rifugio Vallè, set in a landscape of almost lunar colors and shapes.
