An authentic, panoramic hike in Val Veddasca, far from the most crowded routes, the loop trek from Curiglia with Monteviasco towards Alpe Riva, Sarona and the Alpone di Curiglia is one of those experiences that truly surprise. We are in the heart of the Varese area, a stone's throw from Lake Maggiore, but with an atmosphere that closely resembles much more alpine and isolated environments.
This itinerary is perfect for those who love treks with varied paths, balanced elevation gain and continuous panorama. You cross ancient alpine pastures, woods, clearings and incredible panoramic points, until you reach the suggestive Masso alle Croci, one of the most iconic places in the area, and then the Alpone area, from which the view opens onto the surrounding mountains and towards the lake.
It is one of those excursions that don't make noise online... but when you do them, you immediately understand how much they are worth.
