"Via Ferrata Sentiero dei Fiori" or "The Sentiero dei Fiori Via Ferrata" or "Conquer the Sentiero dei Fiori Via Ferrata"

The Sentiero dei Fiori (Path of Flowers) is a beautiful via ferrata, with historical origins linked to the First World War, located on the ridge between the Ghaicciaio Presena and Pisgana basins. We are at the Tonale Pass: access to the via ferrata is facilitated by the cable car that takes us up to altitude, to the Paradiso Pass. Having left the lifts, the path begins on foot, climbing steeply to the Castellaccio Pass. The adventure begins here. Wearing a harness, helmet and via ferrata kit, we proceed along the cables that equip the route, running along the ridges on rocky ledges and wooden walkways. The most characteristic and adrenaline-pumping passage of the via ferrata consists of two aerial suspension bridges! Both can be avoided by passing through tunnels in the rock, but it is worth experiencing walking suspended in the void, in total safety! After crossing the walkways, and after a few memorable shots, the via ferrata continues horizontally to a point where the equipment ends. You briefly climb some rocks to reach the Capanna Lagoscuro (Lagoscuro Hut). A magnificent view opens up before us: the glaciers in all their majesty, from the Vedrette del Lares, del Mandrone and the Pian di Neve, in a truly breathtaking high-altitude setting. Enchanted by this backdrop, we will descend to the Lagoscuro Pass, and with another short equipped section, we will descend to the lake itself. Here comes the time to climb back towards the Presena Pass: back at 3000 meters, we will take the lift that will take us back to the valley. The experience of a via ferrata like this is 360°, from the high mountain environment, to the first trials with the route's equipment, without neglecting the history of those who built these accesses to the most inaccessible areas, more than a hundred years ago! Everything will take place with the accompaniment of a mountain guide, who will guarantee the safe use of the equipment and will give the basic notions on how to move in this type of route. Although large differences in altitude are not covered, the route takes place at high altitude (over 3000 meters) and is still quite long, therefore it requires some training.
