Get ready for an intense two-day adventure in the wild heart of the Bergamo Orobie Alps! We'll hike from Pianezza up to the majestic Rifugio Tagliaferri, the highest mountain hut in the Bergamo province, overlooking the border between Val di Scalve and Valtellina. This is a challenging but incredibly rewarding trek, through glacial valleys, alpine lakes, tranquil pastures, and panoramic ridges. We'll set off from Pianezza and ascend the spectacular Gleno Valley, passing through landscapes etched in the mountain's memory. The Gleno Dam, both majestic and tragic, will greet us with its poignant silence. From there, we'll climb higher and higher, traversing carved valleys, rocky slopes, pastures, and glacial tarns, until we reach Rifugio Tagliaferri (2,328m), practically in the heavens. After a hearty and convivial dinner, and a breathtaking sunset, we'll enjoy a night at altitude. The next morning, with our eyes full of light, we'll descend along the same trail, discovering the landscape from a fresh perspective. This is an intense experience, recommended for those with good fitness levels and a desire to breathe in the true mountain air.
