Winter snowshoe hike in Val di Rabbi: Ragaiolo Suspension Bridge and Malga Fratte
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Easy Plus
Description
Val di Rabbi in winter means white woods, quiet trails, crisp light, and a route that keeps surprising you. We start from Rabbi Fonti, in the heart of Stelvio National Park, for a simple snowshoe hike packed with scenery and good vibes. The unforgettable highlight? The Ragaiolo Suspension Bridge, hanging above the waterfall.
From the valley floor we enter the snowy forest and reach the bridge over the gorge, about 100 metres long at around 1,366 metres above sea level. Then we continue along trails and forest roads to Malga Fratte, where the woods open up to beautiful views over Val di Rabbi and the surrounding mountains. The way back follows an easier ring route, perfect if you want to try snowshoeing in Val di Sole without big elevation gain. And to wrap it up, a hot tea is exactly what this day calls for.
