Description

Winter trekking to Lake Val Sambuzza, at the foot of Pizzo Zerna, is a charming and little-known excursion in the heart of Val Brembana, ideal for Guidders who want to experience the mountains in an authentic and conscious way even in the cold season. The itinerary, of about 12 km with 850 meters of positive elevation gain, starts from the village of Carona and goes up the lateral valley following the course of the Sambuzza stream, immersed in a silent and wild alpine environment. The route winds through firs, larches and high mountain huts, alternating shady stretches with snowy clearings, with a regular and never monotonous climb. Walking in this winter context means slowing down, listening to the silence and enjoying every detail of the landscape. The destination is Lake Val Sambuzza, often frozen in the winter months, set in a natural amphitheater dominated by Pizzo Zerna, which makes the arrival even more scenic and powerful. A perfect excursion for Guidders with a minimum of training, who are looking for real nature, winter atmospheres and sharing, away from the most popular routes.
