Winter Trekking in the Orobie Alps: Lake Branchino and Alpe Corte
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Intermediate
Description
Imagine a winter day where the silence of the snow meets the warmth of the Guiddy community. A day made of slow steps, white landscapes, shared laughter, and that feeling of well-being that arises only when walking in the right direction.
This winter trek takes us into the heart of the Bergamo Orobie Alps, along one of the most evocative routes in the area, between Ardesio, Lake Branchino, and the Alpe Corte Bassa Refuge.
We will start from Ardesio, gradually ascending through snow-covered woods and silent clearings, immersed in a muffled landscape that invites you to slow down and listen to the mountain. The path leads us to Lake Branchino, which in winter transforms into a powerful and suspended scene, where the gaze is lost between snow, light, and surrounding peaks.
It is here that the spirit of the Guidders emerges: we walk together, wait for each other, and share our stories. The effort becomes sharing, and the cold gives way to the warmth of the group.
Upon our return, the Alpe Corte Bassa Refuge will welcome us for a convivial stop: a warm lunch, shared tables, and the simple pleasure of sitting down after a beautiful winter walk.
A perfect excursion for those who want to experience the mountains in winter in an authentic way, without haste, with the pleasure of company and the right pace to savor every step.
